Professionals living and working in a foreign country are a widespread phenomenon today, but the impact of mobility upon women’s life and work presents a number of losses and discomforts.
A ”wander woman” faces questions around belonging, linguistic expression, sense of identity, establishing relationships and so on. When faced with the uncertainty of tomorrow, you may question your ability to succeed because you can’t judge yourself against unknown needs and pressures. This ambiguity can throw you into self-doubt. However, alongside the difficulties, unexpected and fruitful possibilities for growth at both personal and professional level occur. We become liminal and resilient figures with new qualities and strengths resulting from the experience, that go beyond cross-cultural understanding.
Dear Wander Woman!
My name is Anna, but friends call me Ania. I am just like you, a woman, and like you I have felt sad, empty and immensely dissatisfied; sometimes I knew why, other times I had no idea. I have had my fair share of challenges in life and a belief system that didn’t support me. I immigrated from my home country to pursue a new life. Although initially I believed this process was swift and easy, I later released what price I paid for seeking to conform quickly to my new reality. In many respects, immigration is trauma. It is a complete loss of identity and familiarity.

My life began to change when I went on a journey to understand my wounds. I learned to make small sustainable changes and eventually I challenged my beliefs and sought clarity about what I needed.

I recognise that sometimes it’s the cultural and spiritual beliefs that conflict with what we want in life, and at the same time it is also those beliefs that can enrich our lives like nothing else can.
I aim to help clients create lives and careers based on whatever is most integral to them: values, traits, skills and context they need to thrive. My approach combines in-depth psychology and HR expertise. I believe that connecting with empathetic person who went through similar journey can remind you that you’re not alone in the midst of difficulties.
If you are tired of people calling the shots about your life, then you are in the right place. Write your own narrative.

The Power of YOU...
is the Warrior Woman within you. And that's ALL of you: the things that caused you pain, frustration, confusion or anger and the beauty of your culture, your ancestors, and all of divine source that supports you through your life.

The Psycho-Coaching with foreign-born women aims to help you to find your freedom, your own identity, and your own path to the version of your higher self. But it is also a safe space to openly confront the impact of cross-cultural interactions, social vulnerability and the impact of power and privilege in all parts of the living abroad experience, with attention to the socio-political context.
This individually tailored programme, a special combination of achievement-oriented work that is infused with therapeutic treatment and mentoring has one goal: to empower you! The sessions aim to help you to identify the clear, practical and realistic steps, and allow you to develop the skills and self-confidence to take those steps. Every client is uniquely different, so I listen to you and together we create achievable goals. My approach considers where you came from, where you are now, and where you want to be in the future.
It is intended to equip YOU, a foreign-born woman, with the tools to succeed - from deeply psychological to the most practical. Depending on your needs, it might include:
-
